|This is my second term as an Għ.S.L executive member: in my first term I had occupied the position of Publications Officer. The Secretary General is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of all projects that the organisation will embark upon during this upcoming term including the annual publication of Id-Dritt Law Journal and the Criminal Moot Court. My office shall also be responsible for the CONF report outlining every project the previous Executive Board had engaged in successfully. I shall be assisting our President in her work and in achieving the aims and priorities of the organisation.
Daphne Ann Grech
As International Officer, in collaboration with international organisations and local ones alike, my aim is to aid aspiring law students widen their knowledge of international opportunities available. My role includes welcoming and helping any foreign law students pursuing their studies at the University of Malta, as well as encouraging law students to participate in various international competitions and simulations. GHSL is proudly helping organise the Central and East European Moot competition (CEEMC) which is being held in Malta this year. My main challenge would be to promote and uphold such prestigious events.
|Position Vacant. If interested contact the President or the Secretary General. E-mails can be found in the Contact Us section|
The Public Relations Officer is responsible for the promotional advertising of GħSL’s political stand and activities. The Public Relations Officer must establish a clear forefront image of GħSL to the public, while building relationships with other university organisations. Being elected as PRO my aim is to enhance the organisations image as well as act in order to strengthen our ties with various other student organisations, students and the public as a whole. One flagship event in which the PRO is heavily involved is certainly Fresher’s Week. This provides students, who are new to campus life, with the necessary information as well as promoting our organisation and future events. Throughout my term as PRO, I will strive to embellish GhSL’s public relations for the benefit of university students.

As non academic officer I organise activities and events which do not form part of the student's everyday curriculum. During a student's University life, classes are usually only part of the experience. For most, the other part includes socialisation and extracurricular activities. Students often find a niche, whether it's music, art, debate or something else. Well-designed extracurricular activities can have a profound impact on the students involved in it. Through proper organisation, here at Ghsl, we can help provide law students with motivation both in and out of the lecture room, in order to face new challenges and discover one's unique potential.
The Financial Officer, basically, is responsible for all financial issues within Għ.s.l. Such an office entails the responsibility of monitoring the organisation’s financial position; it requires hard work for seeking new opportunities of investment and sponsorships, together with the strengthening of the already existing ones which will make Għ.s.l., together with all its members capable of providing the best service possible to all law students. Elected as part of the Executive Board, I can say that this year, an accurate-as-possible, detailed financial planning is fundamental, given the new projects and potential expansion thereof which Għ.s.l. Executive Board is willing to embark on.

|The Publications Officer is responsible for any type of legal publication issued by Għ.S.L, namely the legal journal Id-Dritt and the online law journal Quid Juris.
Id-Dritt, a legal publication which dates back to the 1940s, is a testimonial to the hard work and dedication of law students and professionals who co-operate and provide an outlet for legal research in Malta. The Publications Officer’s duties are to oversee and assist the Editorial board during the compilation of Id-Dritt.
Quid Juris is an online law journal which provides all law students ample opportunities to broaden their legal thinking and to write articles on different aspects and fields of the law. It also serves as a forum for discussion and for innovative thinking for law students and professionals alike, both in a local context and also in an international milieu. The Publications Officer is the Chief Editor of the online law journal and it is the duty of such officer to promote a culture of legal writing among law students and professionals.

|The thesis library offers an essential service for all law students, gathering law theses written in the past years and cataloguing them in order to make them easily accessible to all. The thesis librarian on the other hand works on the ordering and preparation of these theses to be able to provide the information they contain, if and when it is needed, in the most efficient manner possible.
Being member of the GhSL Executive Board also gives me the ability to participate more directly at decision making levels within the University itself, allowing me to strive to make fellow law students' studies as easy and as enjoyable as I possible, while maintaining the university’s long history of high standards and access to information.
The role of Academic Officer entails catering for the academic purposes within the executive board of Għ.S.L whilst overseeing the continuous development of such board in its academic functions. This entails, amongst others, organizing activities of an academic nature in order to highlight the current interests amongst the law students and propose, submit and actuate key and fundamental proposals for the political development of Għ.S.L. In addition, the Academic Officer is also responsible for the up keeping and updating of law notes and past papers published by Għ.S.L and the Faculty of Laws respectively. I hope that with my dedication and determination I will be responsible for the success of the coming academic program and to serve as a key member both to the law students and to Għ.S.L’s executive.
